The place we will visit today is called Văn Lâm, A Rural District of Hưng Yên Province, where I go frequently on weekends.

Located in Red River Delta region of Vietnam, Văn Lâm is located in the western side of Hanoi.

The cute greenland of this small distrivt with a population of about 10000 people enchant its visitors.

The capital city of the district is Như Quỳnh and total is area 74 km2.

How to get to Văn Lâm

The easiest way to get here is to rent a car. Như Quỳnh is only 34 km from Hanoi. You can take this road in 40 minutes by car.

Roads to Hưng Yên

The easiest way to get to the distict from Hanoi is to take the bus. For this, you can use Buses 09BCT and 69, respectively. This journey takes 1.5 hours in total. 

Văn Lâm District

There has been life in this area for about 1000 years.

In 1831, during the Nguyen dynasty, administrative reforms were made here for the first time. This period is also the beginning of the French colonization period.

Like all parts of the Red River, this place is influenced by the hot and humid Monsoon climate.

There is a great deal of agricultural land, a large part of which is for annual cultivation.

The district has abundant freshwater resources from the Hồng River . The groundwater resource is also abundant with a large reserve.

Cattle breeding also takes an important place in the region.
