Ngwesaung Beach, One of The Most Beautiful Beaches of Myanmar

Today, I have a Trip to Ngwesaung Beach, One of The Most Beautiful Beaches of Myanmar. Ngwesaung means silver coloured beach in Burmese language.

The Beach is located in Ayeyarwady Province with a beach frontage on the Bay of Bengal. The province’s center Patheins is about 48 kilometers from the beach.

The gorgeous beach of Ngwesaung stretches for about 21 kilometers without interruption. The tropical rainforest and Rakhine Mountain Range stretches behind the beach.

With its clean waters and natural surroundings, Ngwesaung Beach is truly one of the best places to choose in the region for a holiday break. Let’s ejoy this beach in Myanmar together.

How to get to Ngwesaung Beach

Ngew Saung Beach is located 250 kilometres from Yangon. This is the easiest to reach beach in Myanmar. You can come here from the capital Yangon (Hlaing Thar Yar Bus Station at 7 and 10 am daily). You can drop here at Ngwesaung Village. The going rate for one-way rides from the village to anywhere around is 1,000 kyat. 

Where to do on Ngwesaung Beach

Compared to other Southeast Asian beaches, it is not crowded and underdeveloped, except for a few resorts and a local village. You have a chance here for quiet and relaxing sunbathing and snorkelling. 

-Pagodas on the Rocks

 If you take a long walk along the coast and you will run into Pagodas on the Rocks.

This pagodas are special to pray and to take photos. Here is also a good place to enjoy the beach.

-Lover’s Island

Lover’s Island is one of the important places you should see on the beach. Especially as the name suggests, you should not miss the sunset hours.

At high tide, the Island is a good place for snorkelling spot and fishing.

You can normally reach the island by boat, but when the tide ends, you can easily reach it on foot. But watch out for sharp rocks and wear slippers.
