Moscow Kolomenskoye Park (Коломенское) was once a estate park where the royal family lived.  it was founded in the 14th century. From the very beginning, this park became a favorite of the Moscow princes where many of them grew up.

Park is on the UNESCO World Heritage List today. It is 4 square kilometers and is located on the edge of the Moscow River.

Here you can see many historic churches and gates as well as other buildings that were added to the park over the years.

One of the gates is Saviour Gate (Спасские ворота).

You can enter through the 17th-century Saviour Gate (Спасские ворота) to the Our Lady of Kazan Church. They are both built with the order of Tsar Alexey.

It’s so nice to walk around in a park in the fall.

Because there are golden leaves everywhere. You are feeling very happy while collecting golden yellow leaves or walking on them.

You can visit also Our Lady of Kazan Church, Russian Ascension Church. St Basil’s Cathedral and St John the Baptist Church spread around the park.

Wooden Village House

In the park there are so many wooden village houses. Today, Children are playing around these wooden houses where princes of Moscow spent their summer months in ancients times.

I’m also taking photos of them with great pleasure. The park is open in 09:00-20:00 to visit. By public transport, you can arrive here in 1 hour from Moscow. You can come here also with Private Tour from Moscow and see what the czar life was like years ago with a fee of 40 $.
